Dogfish Head & Samuel Adams-parent Boston Beer Company set to merge in ~$300 million mega deal

Dogfish Head Brewery is merging with makers of Sam Adams beer Dogfish Head Craft Brewery announced Thursday it is merging with Boston Beer Co., the makers of Sam Adams beer and Angry Orchard hard cider.

There is so much growing interest in the project that Sierra Nevada added:

- 200+ more brewers (up to 1,220+!) to the list today

- a map of all the brewers

- a sortable Google sheet list of the brewers with location info

Sierra Nevada hopes to ship cans & kegs on or by December 17th. Your local brewery may tap it around that time as well since brew day at most places was this past Tuesday. Otherwise, the Sierra Nevada beer should arrive near you within 1-2 weeks after it ships.

A feel good story!

As of this morning, AT LEAST 1,010 breweries(!) signed on to brew Sierra Nevada's Resilience IPA. The brewery recently launched the campaign asking brewers to donate 100% of beer sales to the Camp Fire Relief Fund. Today was the big nationwide Brew Day celebration.
