pt 1 of some idiot studio bts, as a treat

is so much more than an exceptional producer. he is an exceptional (+ versatile!) guitar/keys player, arranger, mixing engineer, singer, and person. we had so much fun making this song and ep, it was a lot of head bobbing and stank faces. each layer carter added brought more and more life to the track. I have learned so much from him about vocal and overall arrangement and how to really achieve the sound that I’m looking for.

is such a ridiculous guitarist and bassist! he brought soooo much groove to this track, my favorite part is the little eighth note strut in the last 30 seconds of the song. what a joy to work with and so insanely talented!!

I can’t for life of me find footage of but he really brought it all together and tied it with a bow in terms of rhythm and percussion. talk about being in the pocket!

I feel so lucky to work with such talented musicians with similar music tastes as me! last slide is part of just the instrumental so you can hear how incredible the track is, even without vocal :’)

beyond ecstatic to announce that I will be performing at this year!

this is one of colorado’s biggest festivals and I am so honored to be a part of it

to say my heart is full is an understatement.

my life has changed in ways I could’ve never imagined in fort collins. the love I felt in the room on friday night was unlike any other show I’ve played.

it felt incredible to be surrounded by close friends and new ones, listening intently, dancing, and even singing my lyrics back to me.

this song has shaped the direction of my artistry. made me feel more free in my creative expression, brought out my theatrical side, let me build a world around it.

it’s been 8 years since my last release, and just as long performing this song, unreleased. sometimes timing is funny, and, while I solemnly swear to never go that long between releases again, I think the stars aligned perfectly in this season of life and version of myself.

I’m so lucky to have such incredible and supportive friends and family, a kickass band to hold it down, insanely talented openers .ni and , the sickest venue , awesome sound mixing .psd, and the world’s best mom to make my necktie haute couture, and friends across the country who have made this release so special.
