Especially with the demand that today's Mortgage Industry is facing, it seems that there is a never-ending list of items on our desk to be completed which leaves us little time to focus on important details of the loan origination process.
However, focusing on these very details will lead to the closing process being stress-free. This will leave you in great standing with everyone involved in the process and will keep business coming in the door... even when levels of demand are subdued.

Physicians and researchers will tell you that being kind enhances our serotonin levels, immune system, and our overall health.
If you consider why this is the case, it can be argued that we are wired to be kind. We simply just don't do it often enough.
Community is built on this very premise. The kinder that we are, the more we listen, the more we connect, the better our lives become and the better we feel about ourselves.
How can you become more kind and in return, enhance your life?
We have to become more accountable for our own actions because the energy that we bring wherever we stand is going to impact, if not define, that situation.
How can you influence the world instead of waiting for the world to change so you can be happier?
How are you showing up in situations? How do you impact the world that surrounds you?
We have to start first. We have to become the change that we want to see in the people that surround us.
Creativity is one of the most important factors that we have to count on, and yet, the most ignored. We are creative beings by nature.
We have so much inspiration and good that we can offer to those around us, and yet we ignore it...
Why?
When I coach clients in sales, one of the most important topics we discuss is how to effectively communicate with prospects. Asking the right questions in the right order can make or break a sale and open up doors and conversations that previously weren't available to you.
In a podcast with Larry Kendall well known for his highly effective Ninja Selling System, he outlines the four critical areas in which we should be asking prospects questions.
"The key is asking good questions, asking them in the right order, being Socratic, and practicing the 80/20 rule where your client does 80% of the talking and you do 20% of the talking.
Start with the "FORD" questions:
"Family"
"Occupation"
"Recreation"
"Dreams"
These questions are the four core areas in most people's lives.
Nothing is more important to them than their family, their career, what brings them joy, and their hopes and their dreams."
Thank you, Larry Kendall, for your great advice in sales.
We get lessons from the strangest sources. When you least expect it, someone that you didn't think was qualified to offer you anything that you can learn is the very person that presents to you what you may need to hear. And if we're not listening, we're going to miss it.
Being receptive becomes a very important part of the way we can enhance our lives because we are surrounded by opportunities to learn.
Being receptive to the words and actions of the people that surround you becomes very powerful because eventually you can learn from them and become a better version of yourself in the process.
"Know less so that you can learn more".

Love is an act. It is not just something we "feel".
Next time you're sitting down with someone, pause think, and ask yourself these questions...
How can I listen better?
How can I validate the people that surround me?
How can I embrace people and make them feel more important?
How can I promote those that surround me so that we can have a greater level of community?
Make an effort to love those around you and you will see a substantial difference in your daily interactions with others, and, you will feel a difference within yourself.
