SmartMov
Making Smarter Financial Moves Together
💸 Feeling stuck or overwhelmed with money decisions? You’re not alone — and you don’t have to figure it out alone.
While I continue building the SmartMov app, I’m offering 1-on-1 financial coaching to help people make smarter moves with their money — right now.
I’ve recently helped folks:
âś… Switch to lower-cost brokerage accounts
âś… Open their first savings account
âś… Create realistic savings goals
âś… Make and stick to debt payoff plans (with me cheering them on!)
âś… Navigate car buying and insurance
âś… Understand their employer benefits
If you’ve got questions, goals, or just want someone in your corner — I’m here to help.
📩 Message me to get started. No pressure, just support. Let’s make your next money move a smart one.
The heart behind SmartMov has always been simple: I want to help people make smarter moves with their money. While the app is still in the works (and taking a bit longer than I hoped), the mission hasn’t changed.
In the meantime, I’m offering something more personal: financial coaching.
Over the past few months, I’ve helped people:
• Switch to lower-cost brokerage accounts
• Navigate opening their first savings account
• Set more strategic and realistic savings goals
• Make a plan to get out of debt and stick with it (with me cheering them on the whole way)
• Research and budget for buying a car
• Understand their employer benefits
• Navigate home and auto insurance with more confidence
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by money decisions or unsure where to start, I’d love to help. Whether it’s small wins or big questions—this is what I’m here for.
Shoot me a message if you want to chat. No pressure, just help. 💬💡

I just learned that State Farm insurance has had their credit rating downgraded. What that means to those with policies, expect increases in your premiums plus the added concern that their balance sheet strength is considered "weak." Fun fact: if you are an educator, nurse, have a bachelor's of science, ask for a discount with Farmer's Insurance. I'm not doing business with them, but as my annual insurance check-up I have added them to the companies that I'm asking for a quote on. I was also pleasantly surprised that their Auto Insurance deductibles are as high as $2500 for those that like to self-insure.
A reminder for everyone: if you use a credit card, you are entitled a extended warranty from the credit card company for electronics and other devices, travel insurance and rental car insurance. Also...don't rent a car through Alamo/National. Recently a sunroof literally exploded when a car door was closed, definitely a mfg defect, yet the rental company with no research has decided to argue that it's the renters fault.
If you're trying to beginning to saving or have an existing savings account, for anything from infrequent large expenses (auto registration, auto maintenance, etc), vacation, emergency funds, do a quick search for a HYSA (high yield savings account) online. They offer at least 10x what traditional banks are offering with none of the fees or minimum requirements. Take a look at Ally, SoFi, Wealthfront, or Bread Financial for great options.
Are you trying to save money and you feel like you're sabotaging yourself? Delete the app. Delete your credit card information from your browser and all apps. Make it a process to have to look for your card and have to enter your information, again and again. The more "friction" you create to buy something, the slower the process and more likely you'll forgo the purchase.
