This October marks the 40th Breast Cancer Awareness Month β and today is Breast Cancer Awareness Day. These designations are more than just pink ribbons; theyβre critical fund- and awareness-raising opportunities, and weβre happy to report that much has changed for the better since the first observance in 1985. Breast cancer death rates have been steadily falling since the late β80s, and five-year survival rates steadily increasing.

INGREDIENTS
β’ 8ouncesbittersweet chocolate (at least 61 percent cacao), chopped
β’ 1β2 cup heavy cream
β’ 1 tablespoon Grand Marnier or another flavored liqueur
β’ 1β4teaspooncoarsesalt β’ Unsweetened cocoa powder (nuts or crushed candy can be used), for rolling
DIRECTIONS
Step 1 β Place chocolate in a bowl. Bring cream, Grand Marnier, and salt to a simmer in a small saucepan. Pour over chocolate and let stand for 2 minutes. Whisk until smooth.
Step 2 β Pour chocolate mixture into an 8-inch square baking dish, and refrigerate until chilled, about 30 minutes.
Step 3 β Scoop balls of chocolate mixture using a tablespoon or a 1-inch ice cream scoop. Roll balls in cocoa powder, tossing, until fully coated. Shake off excess.
