Summer is upon us which means Park Fit is back! Join us for an hour long class focusing on strength training, plyometrics and mobility. Suitable for all levels. We'll meet at the picnic shelter directly next to the playground from 10:00 - 11:00 am every Wednesday from June 10th - July 29th. Come enjoy movement and community this summer!

I had a fantastic time not only sharing some tried and true, research-based strategies for navigating a new way to do fitness in perimenopause and beyond, but also (hopefully) doing my part to reframe this powerful time of life this week with an amazing group of women. They came for some tips, but I hope they walked away with much more.
While I love to get into the research and data, it's so much more than that. Menopause is something that is the ultimate universal experience of the feminine. We can choose whether or not to become mothers, but this will happen to all of us, no matter what. So why do we demonize it? There is a lot to unpack here and certainly more than an Insta post will allow. I'd like to offer that it has a lot to do with our existence in a very masculine dominant society (we are just as guilty of this, ladies - this is NOT a dig at men!). This time of life allows us a very unique and much needed perspective and also the opportunity to deconstruct some patriarchal structures that exist within ourselves. So much more to say about this.....and I will.
I'm grateful for strong women who want to cut the bs and are willing to get honest. I 1000% believe we change the world by having more bad ass, wise women elders in it. That doesn't happen by accident. It's my passion to walk beside women taking on this rite of passage.

Interested in something new for the New Year? I'll be teaching a new small group fitness class starting January 5th at 4:00 at Raintree and I am sooo excited to share it with you!
This class has a little bit of everything: cardio, conditioning, and strength! It's a fast-paced "station style" class that will challenge all fitness levels. No choreography and you choose just the right challenge for you! The best part though is the amazing community that we've begun to create with our Deka Program at Raintree. Truly, it's the best!
What's Deka? It's a multimodal training program that features 10 fitness zones. Events happen once a quarter where you can test your progress in a super supportive environment. Our next event will be March 7th so now is the perfect time to get started.
Class is limited to 8 so sign up in the Raintree app now. Not a member? No problem! You can always sign up for a free 5 day membership to check it out. We have additional Deka classes on Tuesday @6:00 am and Thursdays @4:00. I hope to see you there!
