One minute you’re living your best puppy life... the next, you’ve picked a fight with a rattlesnake. 🐍😅

Sweet Indy came to see us after a rattlesnake bite caused significant swelling and some concerning changes on her bloodwork. One of the ways venom can affect the body is by damaging red blood cells, which can appear spiky and irregular under the microscope🩸🔬

After receiving antivenom, the difference was incredible. Just one hour later, her swelling had already started to improve, and she was well on her way to feeling like herself again. ❤️‍🩹

We’re happy to report that Indie is doing great, and hopefully avoiding snakes from now on! 🐍🚫
