Mark your calendars for the Festival Foods Independence Week Fireworks are July 3 at the Jefferson County Fair Park! 🎆

These fireworks are free to the public and the firework display will start at dusk! (Typically around 9:30 p.m.)

Just want to remind all of our ATV/UTV residents AND tourist visitors that new laws regarding seatbelt-wearing in these vehicles take effect TODAY across WI!!! Have fun and be safe while visiting the Fort Atkinson Area! :)

Did you know Fort Atkinson welcomed nearly 100,000 overnight trips in 2025? 🏨

Hey everyone! I'm Logan McHone, the Tourism & Marketing Manager for Explore Fort Atkinson and the Fort Atkinson Chamber of Commerce. Part of my job is digging into how visitors experience our community, and I'll be sharing data and insights like this from time to time!

Here's a snapshot of 2025 visitor trips (Jan 1 to Dec 31) from people traveling 50+ miles to reach Fort Atkinson:

🔵 59% of trips are overnight stays (99,200 total)
🟠 41% are day trips (69,700 total)
⏱️ 52% of overnight visitors stay just one night

That last number is something we're really paying attention to. It tells us there's a genuine opportunity to give visitors more reasons to stay longer and experience everything Fort Atkinson has to offer.

In her latest newsletter, Wisconsin’s Secretary of Tourism Anne Sayers shared how much she enjoyed her recent visit to The Fireside Theatre to see A Wonderful Life. She talked about the great breakfast, the shopping, and how the show absolutely wowed her. 😄
