Mary Lou Dewberry Elementary opened August 2023 in Forney ISD.
🎓🐾 Today, we celebrated more than the end of a school year, we celebrated a journey. Our 4th graders took their final walk through the halls of Dewberry Elementary surrounded by cheers, smiles, hugs, and so much Bobcat pride. What a beautiful way to send off the Class of 2034!
To our amazing 4th graders, keep believing in yourselves, keep chasing your dreams, and never forget that you will always be part of Bobcat Nation. Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat.
To all of our Bobcat families, thank you for an unforgettable 2025-2026 school year. We hope you have a safe, restful, and joy-filled summer, and we cannot wait to welcome everyone back next school year!

Although the weather forecast changed throughout the week with predictions of thunderstorms and rain, we didn’t want to take any chances when it came to the safety and fun of our students. So, we shifted Field Day indoors, and it was still an AMAZING time! 🐾
From games and laughter to teamwork and smiles, our Bobcats made the most of every moment. Thank you to our staff, students, and families for helping make Indoor Field Day 2025–2026 a success!

What an incredible way to close out the year for our Brothers with Bright Futures and Sisters Soaring 4 Success leadership groups at Dewberry Elementary! From powerful performances to well-deserved awards, this evening was a true celebration of growth, leadership, confidence, brotherhood, sisterhood, and excellence.

☀️ Field Day is almost here, and we are getting excited for all the fun next week on May 20th!
A HUGE thank you to all of our amazing Dewberry families who donated water. Because of your generosity, we now have enough water for Field Day! 💙

Happy Mother’s Day to all of our amazing Dewberry moms, grandmothers, aunties, guardians, and every incredible woman who serves as a mother figure in the lives of our students. 💐

What an AMAZING Teacher Appreciation Week here at Dewberry Elementary! 🐾
From the fun sports-themed setup, sweet treats, concessions cart, drinks, snacks, and all the thoughtful surprises throughout the week, our staff truly felt celebrated and loved.
A very special THANK YOU to our incredible PTO President, our amazing PTO for planning such a memorable week for our teachers and staff. Your hard work, creativity, and generosity did not go unnoticed.
To our Dewberry teachers and staff, thank you for everything you do for our students each and every day. We hope you felt appreciated this week because you deserve to be celebrated not just this week, but EVERY single day!
