We're proud to have partnered on the new Shipley Do-Nuts location in Hockley, Texas. This approximately 1,800-square-foot interior tenant build-out was designed to follow Shipley Do-Nuts' corporate prototype while creating a functional and welcoming space for customers and staff alike. Our team provided architectural and MEP design services, helping bring the project from concept through completion while maintaining the brand's established standards and identity.

We're grateful for the opportunity to be part of another successful project and appreciate the trust placed in our team throughout the process.

Element Collective, a unique mixed-use development in Madison, features a two-story precast podium designed by our team for Mid-States Concrete. Our scope included the design of the beams, columns, hollowcore, slabs, and wall panels that form the foundation of the structure.

Due to extensive soil retention requirements and the building's unique geometry at the south end of the project, significant coordination with the design team was essential throughout the process. Through close collaboration and detailed planning, we helped deliver a precast solution that supported both the project's structural needs and architectural vision.

Big brands still need local solutions.

For this Mister Car Wash location in Cypress, Texas, our team helped bring the prototype design to life while adapting it to the needs of the site and city requirements.

Excel provided architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services along with full permit submittals. The project also required additional structural solutions due to the area’s high wind conditions.

One unique part of the process was working with the city and ownership team to adjust portions of the trade dress and evolve the standard gray palette into a warmer earthtone tan finish while still maintaining the recognizable Mister Car Wash brand experience.

Four-time champs!

The Excel team took home another win at the WDPA Golf Outing, marking their fourth championship title.

This year, Tim Tolley and Brandon Beauchamp were joined by Kevin Beauchamp and Troy B from Galloway for the winning round.

Congrats to the whole crew!

David Vanden Avond and Jason Daye were on site in Elkhart Lake for the groundbreaking of The Well Community Center, a space designed to bring people together every day of the week.

Designed by Excel Engineering as a full service project, this community focused facility will include indoor sports courts, classrooms for workshops and fitness, after school programming, group meeting space, counseling offices, and a food pantry. Plans also feature an indoor walking path along with outdoor gathering areas and a community garden.

Built to serve Elkhart Lake and the surrounding communities, The Well will support everything from recreation and education to gatherings like Sunday services and midweek groups.

We’re excited to see it come together!

Alex Fiebig was on site yesterday for the groundbreaking of a new two-story industrial design studio and office for Mercury Marine. Designed by Excel Engineering, the 16,676 square foot space will include offices, conference and project rooms, a model shop, and lab spaces supporting the teams behind the products you eventually see on the market! Excited to see the progress ahead.
