Riverside Rockets

The Fond du Lac School Board and the entire district proudly celebrated Darrell Jewson, a dedicated member of Covenant United Methodist Church whose generosity has made a lasting impact on our students. Known affectionately as the “Banana Man,” Darrell has made it his mission to secure donations that support children throughout our community.
Each week, he donates and delivers bananas to many of our elementary schools, including Riverside, often supplementing them with cereal and other essential items such as socks and clothing for students in need. His kindness and commitment help ensure that children have access to healthy snacks and basic necessities.
Darrell has become a celebrity in his own right, bringing smiles, excitement, and happiness to our scholars. Students eagerly look forward to his visits and are especially grateful for the opportunity to enjoy nutritious snacks at school or take some home to their families. His selfless service continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless children.

We are forever grateful to these educators who traveled the road that led them to us, the Riverside educational family, leaving a lasting impact on our scholars, families and colleagues for a lifetime. 💙💛💙
