Animal welfare is a closed loop.

The laundry is never done. Our volunteers wash two loads, and three more appear.

We celebrate 20 adoptions, and by the end of the day, 30 more animals have come through our doors.

A long term resident finally goes home while another adopted animal is returned.

In the fall, we celebrate that we saved more lives than we lost. In the summer, we stand on rooftops begging for space while continuing to say yes to the animals who have nowhere else to go.

It is a cycle. A loop.

One we choose to participate in.

At the top of the loop, we celebrate victories that make every hard day worth it. At the bottom, we cling to hope and trust that tomorrow will bring another chance.

The work is never finished because the need is never finished.

But neither is the compassion.

To every employee who shows up when their heart is tired, every foster parent who makes room for one more, every volunteer folding towels, washing dishes, walking dogs, cuddling kittens, answering calls, or sorting through mountains of laundry, we are grateful you're part of this circle.

We survive because you are here.

And while we will keep moving through this loop one way or another, our goal has never been survival.

Our goal is to create a pathway that allows more animals to survive.

To do that, we need more people in our circle.

More adopters. More fosters. More volunteers. More advocates.

Because every person who steps into our circle changes the shape of the loop.
