I recently received a card with a payment from a client, and the message inside truly stopped me for a second.

Some moments really remind me why I love what I do.

When a client takes the time to send something like this, it goes far beyond a transaction. It becomes a relationship built on trust, shared excitement, and the kind of collaboration that turns a dream into something real.

Designing homes isn’t just about drawings and details—it’s about stepping into someone’s vision for their future and helping bring it to life, piece by piece. And along the way, you don’t just work together… you get to know each other. Sometimes you even become friends.

Every project carries its own story, and no two are ever the same. That’s one of the things I’ve grown to love most about this work—everyone’s journey is different, and every home reflects that.

That’s something I never take for granted.

I’m incredibly grateful for the families who trust me with something so meaningful. This is the part of my work that keeps me inspired. ❤

Mother’s Day means a little more to me every year.

As both a small business owner and a mom, I’ve realized that building a business and building a family go hand in hand. Both take patience, sacrifice, long nights, and a whole lot of love.

Some days look like client meetings, floor plans, and construction details. Other days look like bedtime stories, muddy boots, farm chores, and little hands helping wherever they can. Most days… it’s both at the same time. ❤️

Blueprint Design Co. was built not only from a love of design, but from a deep appreciation for home itself — the place where life happens, memories are made, and families grow. Becoming a mother has only deepened that meaning for me.

To all the moms out there balancing dreams, businesses, careers, families, and everything in between — I see you. The work you do matters more than words can say.

Between family life and a full schedule at Blueprint Design Co., social media took a back seat — but behind the scenes, the work (and learning) never stopped.

Today I’m attending a seminar covering legal and business issues affecting contractors and designers — from energy code updates to insurance, tax considerations, and industry changes.

It’s not the glamorous side of design, but it’s important. Staying educated means I can continue serving my clients well and running my small business with integrity.

Running a small business often means long days, late nights, and countless decisions that don’t always come with a clear blueprint. It’s easy to get caught up in the next task, the next deadline, the next goal.

But last night, as the Northern Lights danced across the sky, I was reminded to pause — to look up in awe of the beauty that only God can design.

Just like in my work, where every line and detail comes together to form a greater picture, He’s drawing something far bigger than I can see right now. Each challenge, each blessing, each late night — all part of His greater plan.

So today, I’m thankful. Thankful for this journey, for the people who trust me with their dreams, and for the reminder that even when we can’t see the full plan, the Master Designer can. 💙
