🌟Rising Snook senior Aubry Roode spent the week in Tuscaloosa representing Snook Christian Academy at Alabama Girl’s State. We are so proud of Aubry and how well she represented the SCA Eagles! Aubry even had the opportunity to lead the delegates in a devotional at the event.
Aubry said “Representing Snook Christian Academy at Alabama Girls State was truly indescribable. The week was filled with memories, knowledge, and relationships that will last far beyond my time as a delegate. I was proud to receive the title of Andrew’s County Sheriff and Co-Devotional Chair for my city. Thank you to everyone who made this week possible; this event will always be close to my heart.”

SCA is excited to announce that Mrs. Lauren Wilcox is expanding her responsibilities next year to include Assistant Principal and College and Career Counseling duties! While Mrs. Wilcox will continue to teach one science class, she will spend the majority of her day serving the school with administrative responsibilities.

When asked about this transition, Mrs. Wilcox said, "Our school is such a special place, and I am so thankful to be a part of it. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and invest in our students, working with them to reach their goals both in the classroom and as they prepare for the next step of their academic journey. Watching them grow and succeed is such a privilege!"

SCA is excited to welcome Ms. Holly Gillis as an Upper School Science teacher for the 2026-2027 school year! Ms. Gillis is looking forward to using her science degrees from the University of Alabama and the University of South Alabama for the benefit of the students at SCA next year. Ms. Gillis also looks forward to teaching students how God created science and how science shows the intentionality of God's design.

Please help us welcome one of our elementary parents to the SCA team! Mrs. Madison Lowry will take over for Mrs. Parker at the main office when Mrs. Parker moves to the classroom this year. Mrs. Lowry has been working on campus in various capacities recently and she is very excited for this new opportunity. Please help us give a warm SCA welcome to Mrs. Madison Lowry!

SCA is very excited to announce that Mrs. Amy Parker is going to transition to the classroom this August as a 2nd grade teacher! Mrs. Parker has served SCA as the sub coordinator and as an integral part of the office staff for several years. During this time, the families at Snook have come to know and love her. Mrs. Parker approached the administration about God leading her toward teaching a few months ago, so many prayers were prayed and God opened doors. Mrs. Parker is excited to put her college degree to work in a new way next year, and continue to make a positive impact on the families at SCA. Please help us welcome Mrs. Amy Parker as a 2nd Grade teacher!

We are very excited to welcome Mrs. Haley Gray to the classroom for the 2026-2027 school year! Mrs. Gray has been working with us as the Advancement Director for the last 2 years and is completing her undergraduate degree this summer. Mrs. Gray is excited to help us get the Career and Skilled Trades Program up and going on campus. This program will be a huge benefit for our current and future students, as well as our community as a whole. Her enthusiasm and dedicated to SCA will be a massive benefit to helping this new program be a success.

Snook Christian Academy is very excited to announce that Mr. Eric Gray has agreed to move into the position of Director of Spiritual Life for the 2026-2027 school year! Coach Gray spent this past school year as a history teacher, girl's basketball coach, and softball coach. He has agreed to transition to be SCA's first ever Director of Spiritual Life, while still coaching basketball and softball for the Eagles.

Coach Gray's responsibilities will include daily chapel organization, Spiritual Emphasis Day planning, Day of Service planning, organizing service projects, mission trips, and providing pastoral counseling for staff and students. Mr. Gray will also serve as an Associate Athletic Director focusing on increasing the spiritual impact of SCA athletics while also teaching 2 high school Bible classes.

Coach Gray says "I am incredibly excited and honored to step into the role of Director of Spiritual Life at Snook Christian Academy. One of the things that excites me most is the opportunity to help strengthen and grow the spiritual culture of the school while investing in the lives of students each day. Through chapels, Bible curriculum, and teaching God's Word, I look forward to helping students deepen their faith and develop a Christ-centered foundation for life.

Snook Christian Academy has a strong mission and community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside the faculty, staff, and families as we continue shaping young people spiritually and academically."
