NEXT WEEK, on October 3, KELEPOÚRI and Gogo Norales play together for the very first time at GLOBAL MASHUP: Greece Meets Garifuna!
KELEPOÚRI brings the soulful music and dance of the Smyrneiko tradition, inspired by the legendary Café Aman spaces of Asia Minor. 🇬🇷
Gogo Norales brings Bronx-based Garifuna energy with paranda rhythms, powerful percussion, and call-and-response vocals. 🥁
Each band plays a set, then they join forces for a mashup you won't hear anywhere else. Come at 7 PM for dance lessons and learn the moves before the music kicks off at 8 PM.

Join us for an information session with the Arts Services Department of Flushing Town Hall to learn about the Arts Grants for Queens and GO Queens Grant!
We will review guidelines, grant cycle schedules, and best application practices.

What a Saturday! Thank you to everyone who joined us for "The Blazing Fire Mountain and Its Princess, A Monkey King Tale". Two shows full of mischief, magic, and a whole lot of martial arts, plus a chance for the audience to see the puppets up close after the show! 🐒
A huge thank you to Galapagos Puppet Theater's puppeteers, Madeleine Beresford and Margaret Moody, for bringing this 400-year-old tale to life with such skill and heart! A special thank you to our incredible musicians for the live score:

On Wednesday, we came together for Mapping Queens: Innovators in Green Spaces to hear directly from the people doing the work. We learned how community leaders across Queens are working to protect and sustain community gardens and transform them into spaces for connection and creativity. What an incredible group of panelists and thoughtful discussion!🌷

Flushing Town Hall’s 2027 Arts Grants for Queens and GO Queens Grant applications are now open!
Arts Grants for Queens: Flushing Town Hall will award artists and arts organizations based in Queens to produce arts and culture projects to be presented in the borough in order to enrich and enliven the community. Selected individual artists will receive $5,000 while organizations can receive anywhere between $1,000 - $7,500.
GO Queens Grant: Flushing Town Hall will award forty-six $20,000 grants over two-years to Queens-based performing arts and culture nonprofit organizations with annual operating budgets under $250,000. These unrestricted funds can be used for General Operating Support (GOS) to help the granted organization grow.
📅 Submit by December 1st, 2026 at 5PM ET.
