🌭 The traditional “Hot Dog Meeting” returns this Thursday, May 14th at Local #3 IBEW’s monthly General Membership meeting in the Electric Industry Center Auditorium! Bring yourself and a coworker!

For the members of Local #3 IBEW, Election Day is this Saturday, May 16th, and your vote matters! Voting will take place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on 11th Avenue from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Remember to bring your union card or a paid dues receipt, as Election Board members will be verifying them at the entrance to the poll site.

Check out the latest Rank & File newsletter and Electrical Union World newspaper for shuttle service times and locations, a sample ballot, and more voting information. Copies of the newspaper and the election poster in English and Spanish will be available at the General Membership meeting this Thursday, May 14th, which is also the annual “Hot Dog Meeting.”

Welcome to the 38th Biennial Spring Art Festival presented by the Educational & Cultural Trust Fund of the Electrical Industry! The gallery opening had a great turnout on Sunday, May 3rd, and it remains open to the public through this Saturday, May 9th. Come by the Auditorium from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to view the fine arts on display.

May is Electrical Safety Month and Mental Health Awareness Month, and May 4th-8th is Construction Safety Week. Take time to identify hazards in the workplace and at home, review safety protocols and emergency response plans, and speak up about physical and mental health.
