Denton's burger scene is no joke — and these three prove it. 🍔

LSA Burger Co. on University Drive has been earning its loyal following one fresh patty at a time. RG Burgers over on Teasley has been doing old-school gourmet right — daily-fresh beef, sourdough buns, zero shortcuts. And Slap Burger Bar downtown on Ave A is the late-night move that's worth staying out for. (The Fire Breather is not a drill.)

Save this one. Your next Denton lunch break just got planned.

Want farmers-market-fresh food without the early Saturday wake-up call? A local couple's got you covered.
Flower Mound's Brandyn and Molly Skinner started The Local Markethouse, an online shop that connects you straight to nearby growers and makers. Bread, eggs, honey, produce, pantry staples — all sourced from within about 100 miles of home.
They deliver across Flower Mound, Roanoke, and Argyle, or you can grab a pickup, and you can order weekly, monthly, or whenever the fridge runs low. Supporting local has never been this easy.

If you've ever dreamed of big lots and even bigger houses, Prosper's got something coming for you.
It's called Mirabella — a 190-acre gated community from Highland Homes bringing 285 luxury homes, many in the million-dollar range. Think oversized lots, preserved tree canopies, hike-and-bike trails, and pocket parks woven all through it.
Sales are expected to kick off later this year. As Prosper keeps booming, communities like this are exactly the kind of move-up inventory buyers up there have been waiting for.

Out on the western edge of Denton County and the burgers are quietly elite. 🍔

Little Joe's Farmstead in Argyle is farm-to-table done with a burger — locally sourced, giant portions, and a kitchen that actually cares. Smashville Burgers & Tots in Northlake is the new kid already building a serious following with crispy-edged smash burgers and a tots menu you can't stop ordering. And Outlaw Burgers & BBQ keeps it Texas-sized and does it well.

This area is growing fast. The food is keeping up.

Thinking about Argyle, Northlake, or Ponder? Let's talk before this market moves on you.

Frisco has plenty of chain restaurants. These are not those. 🍽️

Here are 5 locally-owned spots flying under the radar — Italian-Balkan fusion, a James Beard-nominated historic home, and a French bistro next to Cowboys HQ that nobody expects to find.

Save this before your neighbors do.

FC Dallas's home stadium is in the middle of a 182-million-dollar glow-up — and part of it opens this summer.
Toyota Stadium in Frisco is adding a full shade canopy over every seat (bless it, Texas summers), pushing capacity to around 22,000, and more than doubling its luxury boxes to 57. The east side reopens this summer, right after the World Cup, with the whole project wrapping in 2028.
They're even throwing a 39-day Soccer Celebration to go with it. New stadium, same address — and perfect timing with all eyes on DFW soccer right now.

Downtown Frisco is getting its groove back — and now it comes with its own ride. The city just rolled out a new shuttle to move people around the historic Rail District. The little vehicles are nicknamed "Boxcars," and they're part of a much bigger plan to bring shops, restaurants, and foot traffic back to the heart of old downtown Frisco.Pair that with a new parking garage and the 4th Street Plaza, and you've got a downtown clearly building toward something. Worth keeping an eye on if you love a good revitalization story.Article via Community ImpactHot tips around Denton County or the rest of DFW? Denton's coffee scene hits different when you know where to go. ☕

West Oak is the tucked-away legend behind the square. Jupiter House gives you rooftop views and killer lattes in a historic building on Locust. And Triptych? Denton's original specialty coffee spot — pour-overs, single-origin beans, and baristas who actually want to talk about the coffee.

These three have been holding it down for Denton regulars for years. Now you know.

Turns out, showing up to a zoning meeting really does make a difference. 🛠️
Le Collision Center (currently in Duncanville) wanted to do major auto repair — including painting — on a 2-acre lot near the Central Village Estates neighborhood off Fort Worth Drive. The catch: the site is zoned for general office use, which only allows light work like tire and oil changes. Neighbors turned out to oppose it over noise, pollution, and property-value concerns, and on May 27 Denton's Planning & Zoning Commission denied the special use permit.

It's official-ish: H-E-B is coming to the city of Dallas. 🛒
The cult-favorite Texas grocer filed its construction permit for its first-ever Dallas store at LBJ Freeway (635) and Hillcrest Road. Construction is slated to start March 2027, with an opening targeted for September 2028. H-E-B says the store will bring about 800 jobs and an estimated $24 million in tax revenue to Dallas over five years, plus road upgrades like added turn lanes to ease traffic.
