We are so excited to introduce our new half-time Assistant Principal, Chera Cox!

Ms. Cox brings over 20 years of experience in education, and elementary school has always felt like home to her. This year is going to be a busy one, as she will be splitting her time between Donald and Wellington Elementary—getting the absolute best of both worlds!

When she’s not at school, you can usually find her:

Attempting to hang out with her two college-aged kids (whenever they can fit her into their busy schedules! 😊)

Listening to live music 🎶

Sneaking away to the beach any chance she gets 🏖️

Reminder for families! Our student information system is transitioning to a new and improved platform this summer — Skyward Qmlativ. Here's what that means for your family between now and the first day of school:

📌 Now – July 17 | Skyward SMS is available in read-only mode. If there are documents you may need this summer — unofficial transcripts, report cards, records, etc. — download them before July 17.

📌 July 13 | Online enrollment reopens in the new Qmlativ system.

📌 July 17 – Aug. 2 | The Skyward app will be temporarily offline. A browser link will be available during this window for document access.

📌 Aug. 3 | Family Access opens in Skyward Qmlativ! Delete and reinstall the Skyward app on your device and sign back in to get started.

📌 Aug. 5 at 4 p.m. | Student schedules are released for all grade levels.

Every year 3rd graders hold a Marketplace to learn about economics. They money they make they donate each year. This year they donated it to our Clinic for Nurse Hopper to use. She met with them today to thank them.

I am so touched and honored that you thought of helping our clinic with the proceeds from your Marketplace.
You did a wonderful job. Your creativity, hard work, & excitement making such fun things truly made your Marketplace special.
A few I remember were,
The sparkly sunglasses, Dallas Cowboy Bookmarkers, Pokémon beads, Fruit Pencil Toppers, Cute Colorful plants, and Fruity Flavored fan items.
Because of your donation to the clinic, we can purchase grade level, color-coded, well stocked emergency bags for each grade that will be kept in the classroom.
We will also have a well-stocked clinic for next year and because I do not have to ask the PTA for clinical supplies, I am able to ask them for a new Staff Emergency Training kit that includes feedback technology.
--Your kindness, generosity and hard work are making a real difference for everyone at Donald!
--Thank you for all you did—I am so proud of each of you!
Nurse Hopper

We loved celebrating our 5th graders last night at their Promotion Ceremony. They have grown so much this year and we are so proud to send them off to middle school. Thank you teachers and families for supporting them this year and all the years prior!

This morning was wonderful seeing our Seniors come back and walk the halls. I started at Donald when this class started Kindergarten and I just love them so.
This is Ms. Hoffman btw!!

Seniors please bring your cap and gown and we will see you Tuesday morning!!!!
