REAL TALK WITH OT — TALK THE TALK

I am opening the door for individuals who are ready to tell the truth about their journey and the decisions that changed their outcomes.

This is not a platform for image management.
This is not a space for performance stories.
This is real conversation for real people who have lived, learned, and grown.

If you have:
• Survived the streets and chose structure
• Failed forward and rebuilt with discipline
• Broken cycles in relationships, finances, or identity
• Walked through trauma and took responsibility for healing
• Learned truth the hard way and are willing to share it honestly

I want to hear from you.

Real Talk With OT exists to give voice to stories that correct without shaming and teach without judging. Your experience may be the clarity someone else needs to move forward.

This is a cross cultural space.
This is a respectful space.
This is a truth centered space.

You do not need to be perfect.
You do need to be honest, accountable, and willing to speak from growth not wounds.

If you are interested in being interviewed, comment REAL TALK or send a direct message. A brief interest form and next steps will be shared.

Comfort Is the Enemy to Transition

Transition is rarely blocked by lack of vision. Most people know something needs to change. They feel the tension. They sense the shift. They recognize the season is ending. What delays movement is not confusion it is comfort.

Comfort is subtle. It does not announce itself as resistance. It disguises itself as wisdom, patience, and timing. It whispers, “Stay a little longer. You’re safe here. You can manage this.” And before you realize it, comfort has negotiated you into stagnation.

Comfort is the enemy of transition because transition requires loss before it produces gain. You must release familiar patterns before new structures can hold. You must let go of identities that once worked but no longer fit. Comfort resists this because comfort is invested in what already exists, not what is emerging.

Most people do not fear change itself. They fear the discomfort that accompanies it. They fear the awkward middle the place where the old no longer functions but the new is not yet fully formed. Comfort keeps you anchored to what you know, even when what you know is quietly draining your capacity, creativity, and courage.

Comfort convinces you to tolerate misalignment. It teaches you to normalize frustration, overextension, emotional numbness, and spiritual dullness. You tell yourself, “This is just how it is,” when in truth, it is simply what you have learned to endure.

Transition demands disruption. It requires you to question routines that once served you but now limit you. It calls for internal honesty about where you have settled, where you have compromised, and where you have chosen ease over obedience. Comfort resists all of this because comfort thrives on familiarity, not truth.

There is a cost to staying comfortable too long. Comfort dulls discernment. It lowers your sensitivity to warning signs. It causes you to mistake stability for alignment and survival for success. You can be functioning well and still be out of position.

Many transitions are delayed not because doors are closed, but because hands are still gripping what must be released. Comfort keeps your hands full. Transition requires empty hands.

This is why seasons of transition often feel uncomfortable before they feel rewarding. Discomfort is not always a signal that something is wrong. Often, it is confirmation that movement has begun. Growth stretches what is familiar. Expansion interrupts routines. Alignment confronts habits.

Comfort asks, “Why risk what you have?”
Transition asks, “Why settle for what no longer fits?”

When comfort is prioritized, calling is postponed. Potential remains theoretical. Assignments stay incomplete. But when comfort is confronted, clarity sharpens. Courage strengthens. Direction becomes undeniable.

If you are restless, unsettled, or sensing an internal pull toward change, do not rush to eliminate the discomfort. Listen to it. Discomfort often arrives as an invitation an alert that the current structure cannot contain what you are becoming.

Transition will require you to say no to things that once felt safe. It will require boundaries that feel unfamiliar. It may require solitude, recalibration, and decisions others do not understand. Comfort will try to talk you out of all of it.

But growth never negotiates with comfort.

If you are serious about becoming who you are called to be, you must be willing to outgrow what once sustained you. Comfort cannot lead you into your next season. Only courage, obedience, and intentional movement can do that.

Comfort keeps you stable.
Transition moves you forward.
