Did you know that Wesleyan Hall features its "Faithful Towers," also known in Latin as Turris Fidelis? The term Turris Fidelis, in Irish heraldry, is linked to a poetic and symbolic expression of protection, strength, and faithfulness. Each year at graduation, The University of North Alabama awards two students with the Turris Fidelis award, the highest academic and leadership achievement award on campus.

Did you know that another Female Academy graced the location where Willingham Hall sits today? Known as Locust Dell Academy, it served as "an educational center for Southern young ladies" for 9 years and then was sold to the eventual governor of Alabama, Edward O'Neal.
