One Table Florence Volunteers,

Thank you so much.

It is hard to fully describe this year’s One Table Florence. Your support, encouragement, and hard work created a unique event that warmed hearts all across our city.

Please know that you have made a real difference in our community.

You showed up early, stayed late, and filled in every gap: setting up, cooking, serving, cleaning, carrying, welcoming, and caring for guests from all walks of life. Many of you stepped into roles you didn’t expect, adapted when things changed, and did it all with a smile. That flexibility and servant attitude is what made the day work.

Believe me please, the atmosphere buzzed with warmth that started with your attitude to the community. People were greeted with dignity, warmth, and genuine interest. You didn’t just hand out food; you created space for people to feel seen, valued, and included. That matters more than anything.

We received so many positive comments from attendees:

“What a beautiful way to celebrate Thanksgiving.”
“Amazing.”
…and many more expressions of gratitude and joy.

One Table Florence is truly a community event, spanning hundreds of volunteers and hundreds of organizations across Florence County.

As the organizers of this event, we are truly blessed to have the opportunity to work with you each year. We fully intend to be back next year.

And of course, now that Thanksgiving has passed, we wish you a very Merry Christmas with your friends and families.

What a beautiful community.

PARKING! The best place to park is at First Presbyterian Church, 700 Park Avenue. It is only a short walk to the park from there.

As you sit, breathe, and look down the long table, whisper a simple prayer: “Thank you, God, for this food, these people, and this day.” Let gratitude be the quiet center of your Thanksgiving.

While you are at the table today, take one photo that captures real gratitude, not just a plate. Then put the phone away and give most of your attention to the people in front of you. Let this Thanksgiving be remembered for presence, not just posts.

Today, Florence comes together at Timrod Park from 11 am–1 pm for One Table Florence. Come hungry, come hopeful, and come ready to share food and conversation with neighbors from every part of our community.
