Beginning August 11th, all PDRTA public transportation services in Florence County will be completely FARE FREE — no passes, no change, just hop on and ride! 🚌💙

This initiative, made possible by your Florence County Council, is a major investment in accessibility, opportunity, and quality of life for our residents. Whether you’re commuting to work, heading to an appointment, or just getting around town — public transit is now simpler and more affordable than ever.

We cannot wait to have a WHEELIE fun time this Saturday, October 26 from 9AM-12PM at Darlington Raceway! There are more vehicles on our list and we will have a few delicious vendors including Lola's Lemonade, Kona Ice, and Renee Owens Semi Homemade!

Our amazing Bookmobile and staff were recognized in the St. Anthony school bulletin. Their work towards fostering literacy in the community is unmatched!

A big thank you to Scranton Elementary STEAM Academy for having us out for a third year at their annual Literacy Night! We love getting this opportunity to meet parents and students in Florence County, celebrate reading, and share information about all the library has to offer 📚❤️

We are so grateful for the opportunity to bring our bookmobile to this incredible school. They’ve got the best teachers and staff, and the sweetest kids who are intensely excited about books and reading ❤️ We can't wait until our next stop there!

St. Anthony students get visit from Bookmobile FLORENCE, S.C. -- St. Anthony Catholic School students were thrilled to check out books from the Florence County Library System Bookmobile, which visited the school on Tuesday.

We want to wish the lovely Erin Entrada Kelly a very special Happy Book Author Birthday from all of us at the Florence County Library!

We had an awesome time on Saturday at the Community Back to School Event! It was great to see so many families from across the Florence and Darlington area. Many books were read, games were played, and laughs were had. What a perfect end to the summer 😎☀️
