He had 220 receptions for 3,548 yards and 25 touchdowns during his NFL career and earned the nickname Downtown Charlie Brown. Charlie has coached on all three levels, including high school, collegiate and professional. Charlie is an inductee into six Football Hall of Fame organizations, including the prestigious, S.C. He was an educator over twenty years. His goal was to give back, help kids stay on the right track, and reach their dreams. His love for helping aspiring student athletes is what led him to form the Charlie Brown Foundation. The Foundation seeks to help students in underprivileged and impoverished communities. Every year, he holds free football camps, bike give always for children in need, weekly game awards to students, athletes, and mentorship opportunities for students.
