Hey! It’s been a minute.

Today was the first day of my last semester as a student at UNA. This month marks 3 years since I moved to Florence. This past Saturday I turned 23 years old. When I left my hometown for college I never found myself looking back, but here I am at the end and I see where all of my steps took me. I’ve seen so many things, met so many people, and learned so many lessons along the way. All of this reminiscing has a point, I promise.

Earlier this year I decided to take a break from social media. I’ve always struggled to fully be myself on a platform because of the feeling of “not being what the people want”. Not handsome enough, not funny enough, not skinny enough, etc. I know for a fact that I am not the first to feel this way, and sadly know I won’t be the last.

I started writing music as a way to connect with my own emotions. I continue to write now because of the even stronger connections I’ve made with other people. People that have felt the sadness I’ve felt, people that have been through similar situations, or people that just need a song to get them through a dark time. I no longer feel the need to put on a persona, because genuineness will always be what people need.
I’m very excited to share a much more real side of myself with you in the coming months. This song is one of my favorites that I have written this year, and is called “Happened By Design”. I hope you and enjoy and I’ll see you soon!
