Long Race Weekend Recap!
INAUGURAL BARNEY BARNHILL MEMORIAL

The 602 that could!
Went to Southern Raceway this weekend and ran with the 604s.

Qualified 8th in group B Saturday out of 15 cars. Started and finished 8th after some good racing in the feature! That locked us in to a 4th place starting spot of Heat 1 for Sunday, ran 4th the whole Heat race which would have locked us in the last transfer spot into the race until contact on the last lap caused us to spin and got us credited with a 7th place Heat finish. Unfortunately that put us starting deep in the B main trying to transfer and with bad weather coming the track went into hurry up mode and we had little time to get ready for the B, had to get the drivers door off the left rear and change the tire where it was cut. Started 7th in the last chance race and wound up 6th which luckily locked us into the last spot of the feature! Made some last minute changes to the car and started 24th in the big show! Drove the car up to 16th place trying to keep our nose clean and was making good progress until bad luck struck when we got bottled up around the inside wall and the car behind us jumped the left rear and shut the motor down and cut the brake line. Decided to stay out and ride at the rear until the leaders were catching us so we pulled in!

Super proud of the car we had this weekend, and the help we had to get us out on the track all weekend. Can’t thank Larry Lambeth, Tracy Lambeth enough for the continued support and all the behind the scenes work they do to make this possible! Big thanks to Dalton and Coby for the help Saturday night, and then Sunday night we were so rushed we couldn’t have made the call without the help of Dalton, Tyler Merchant, and Gage Hagan!

Headed back to Southern Raceway for night 2 of the Barney Barnhill Memorial! Qualified 8th lastnight, started 8th in the B group feature, raced up to 6th at one point, shuffled back to 11th and then brought it back to 8th! Let’s see if we can’t put together a good night and get this 602 in the big dance! 60 laps for 10k!

Tri-County Speedway Race Recap!

We went to the track this week hoping to test some new ideas and boy did we do just that! Drew a 2nd heat race pole starting position and smooth gave it away with a racecar that was way off for the driver and track conditions! Made a few adjustments to try and get back in the right direction for the feature starting 8th and we feel like we managed to get better bringing home a 6th place for the weekend! Hoping to build off the new ideas and tune them in better going forward! Next race will hopefully be at the Barney Barnhill Memorial 604 race this coming weekend to support it at Southern Raceway with our little 602 to see if we can get it in the big show!

RACE WEEKEND RECAP!

Race recap from our 602 W.C trip to the mag last weekend. Hauler trouble on the way up Friday put us behind the curve by causing us to miss hotlaps and roll in just in time to make qualifying without getting to make any changes for track conditions. Rolled out last for qualifying group 2 and qualified the same! Started last (p12) in heat 3, made a few spots but then faded back to 11. Ended Friday night with a lot to figure out for Saturday. Started 12th in the b main and got to 6th. Started 5th in the NQR and brought home 3rd putting us 2nd car out of making it in the big dance! We will keep our heads up and keep working!
