I have drafted a resolution that would 1.) Reduce Congressional pay(constitution says they must be paid, but doesn't specify how much)to a per diem amount, and 2.) ensures that essential federal staff continue to be paid, during a federal shutdown. Tell me what you think.

The tragedy in Grand Blanc at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has left our hearts shattered. A place of worship should be a sanctuary, and the senseless violence that ripped through this sacred space today is an unconscionable attack on our community.
My deepest condolences and prayers are with the victims who lost their lives, those who were injured, their families, and the entire Grand Blanc community as we grapple with this devastating loss.
We stand with the Grand Blanc Police Department, Genesee County Sheriff's Department and all first responders who bravely ran toward danger.
We must come together now, as a community, state, and country to support this grieving community.

Releasing everything but the list. Whole campaigns were built off this mythic alluring list, that no one seems to know where it is. This is what happens when something is sensationalize something that might or might not be true, real or facts.
Epstein files live updates: US House committee releases more than 33,000 pages of records Democratic and Republican lawmakers, however, say that most files were already public information.
One of the most broken things about Congress is bill stuffing. I have a solution: the "One-Bill, One-Purpose Act."
The idea is simple: each bill brought before congress should be short, purposeful, and have a singular objective. No more hiding special favors for lobbyists or unrelated pork projects in thousand-page bills.
It’s a commonsense plan to ensure transparency and accountability.
People ask me why I'm doing this. One of the biggest reasons is to make my Mimi proud.
She is the only person that has supported me my entire life, unconditionally. It would be nice to give her something she can brag to her friends about!
This journey isn't just about politics for me; it's about honoring the people who believed in me and fighting for a future they can be proud of.

Did you know? For years, corporations have improperly used "1099 contractors" to avoid paying their federal payroll tax obligations.
This shifts 100% of that responsibility to the individual doing the work. It's a loophole that benefits corporate greed at the expense of American workers.
I believe if a company has a recurring task, they should W2 hire someone to do it. It's time to put American workers first.
Do you think this is a fair system?
Today's issue: Corporate Accountability.
In places like Flint, corporations have built, polluted, and destroyed communities, then left the mess for everyone else to clean up. GM created a trust to handle the properties they no longer wanted, but years later, taxpayers are still being asked to foot the bill for the cleanup.
This has to stop. My Community Protection Act will hold corporations responsible for cleaning up the messes they make. They take, use, and abuse—it's time they stop leaving us to clean up the mess.

This week's word is Hypocrisy.
How insulting is it to watch politicians take away or reduce public subsidies for your neighbors in need, while simultaneously using that "savings" to give corporate America and the elite MORE tax breaks?
They tell us to tighten our belts while they loosen theirs. My goal is a government that serves its people, not just the powerful.
What does hypocrisy in politics mean to you? Let me know in the comments.

Our Mission
To restore power to the people of Michigan by championing a new era of direct representation and rejecting the broken political system that prioritizes party agendas over the will of the people.
About T.J.
T.J. Stephens is a candidate for the United States Senate for Michigan, but he is not a politician. He is a 39-year-old senior executive in the medical software industry, a former oil rig worker, a small business owner, and a volunteer firefighter. His diverse background has provided him with critical knowledge across multiple industries and a core philosophy rooted in helping others.
He is running for office because he, like many "elder" millennials, are tired of the political polarization and empty promises that have defined our country. He believes we must move beyond the candidates who "scream the loudest" and instead elect people with a genuine commitment to public service.
Core Beliefs
* Direct Representation Over Party Loyalty: T.J. doesn't align with any party because he believes an ideal system wouldn't need multiple factions if one truly embodied what is right for everyone. His only loyalty is to his constituents.
* Radical Transparency: Believing that trust in elected officials is paramount, T.J. is committed to being transparent and honest, even flinging open the door to his own past mistakes to stand accountable before the people he wishes to serve.
* Empowering the Individual: This campaign is a 100% grassroots effort to represent the everyday American, from farmers to executives. His goal is to create systems that allow citizens to directly influence and vote on legislation, putting power back into the hands of those who fund the government.
It's time to be the change we want to see. Help me, help US!
