The City of Flint’s Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative Program is currently seeking proposals from organizations who are currently doing community violence intervention and/or prevention programs within the City of Flint. Grants will range from $10k - $50k and up to 15 organizations will be awarded! The deadline to apply is December 13th at 5pm. Happy Independence Day! As we celebrate the independence of Country. I must also be thankful for the full release, freedom, & independence of men, women, people of color. Without the Abolition of Slavery, ppl of Color would not have the FREEDOM of INDEPENDENCE, LIFE, & LIBERTY. Although, WE continue to work on equality, oneness, & unification of Country, people, places & spaces - today, WE remember, acknowledge & celebrate our individual & collective Independence. ~Onward 🙌🏾🙏🏾💜😘

We live in a great city, but it doesn't take away from the deeply embedded trauma and health challenges Flint residents, youth & families face on a daily basis. I continuously pray for my babies, City & those exposed to lead 💜 Keep Flint in your prayers.
