Today, the lesson for the taking Jesus to the streets crew was all about Joseph and his coat of many colors and boy did they have fun when they got to make their own coats. Pastor Garrett, Miss Karen and I were prime models for the kids crepe paper coat designs. Great time.

When you're able to provide a food give away, you pack up to feed multitudes, knowing that you might not give away all you brought. I'm happy to say that today our supplies went to good use and we brought nothing back. We were blessed to serve 28 families thats food for 77 people. I saw so many familiar faces today from when we served monthly meals on the north side when York was still active. God is good! 🤗🫶🙌

Our Vision
​
IMAGINE a city where 62% of the children live below poverty, where 40% of the housing are abandons—where life for many is one big dumpster burn. Then imagine that some of these people in this urban setting (80%) hope for things we take for granted. They hope for a warm home, a roof over their head, health care, transportation, food and safe drinking water. Such a place exists. It is Flint’s east side where the Lutheran Church (LCMS) has planted Franklin Avenue Mission (FAM) to serve the poor, hungry and homeless.
