Nov. 2025: Flint Area Explorer Post PT Training 💪👮‍♀️
The Explorers took on a mock version of the MCOLES physical fitness test to establish their baseline and set goals for improvement before retesting in the spring. The training was led by Officers Wright and Thrower, who provided outstanding instruction, encouragement, and mentorship throughout.

We’re incredibly proud of the effort every Explorer gave—and even more proud of the way they pushed through challenges and supported one another. The future looks bright for this dedicated group! 🌟

Some great takeaways:
🗣️ “You don’t have to be an Olympic athlete here—you just can’t quit. This is what police officers do; they push through.” – Officer Thrower
🗣️ “In this profession, if someone gives up, someone else suffers for it.” – Officer Wright

🚨 NOW HIRING: FLINT TOWNSHIP POLICE OFFICERS 🚨

We’re not just looking to fill positions — we’re looking for the right kind of person.

The kind of person who refuses to settle for ordinary.
The kind of person who thrives when challenged — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
The kind of person who’s ready to serve something bigger than themselves.

At the Flint Township Police Department, we’re building more than a team — we’re building a culture. Not everyone is built for this line of work. We’re not looking for average. We’re looking for the ones who can stay sharp when the world gets loud and who run toward the challenge instead of away from it. At Flint Township you’ll be pushed harder, move faster, and make a real impact alongside people who still believe in doing the job for the right reasons.

👮‍♂️ Lateral Transfers:
If you’re already in law enforcement but feeling stuck — tired of politics, limited opportunities, or a department that’s lost its spark — it might be time for a change. Flint Township offers the room to grow, the support to excel, and the kind of culture that reminds you why you joined this profession in the first place.

🎓 New Recruits:
If you’ve always dreamed of becoming a police officer, we’ll help you get there. We hire and sponsor recruits through a police academy, setting you up with the tools, training, and guidance to launch a successful law enforcement career from day one.

We’re not looking for just anyone. We’re looking for that right kind of person – the ones who don’t fold when it gets hard. So if you’re ready to be rewarded and challenged, apply today and start your new journey.

Congrats to Explorer Jasmine Coryell on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and for her recent appointment as cadet for the Michigan State Police. Proud of you, Jasmine!

The Blue Star District Committee would like to congratulate Jasmine Coryell from Troop 1810-G for earning the rank of Eagle Scout on October 7, 2025. Jasmine graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 2025 and is planning to go to Mott in January for Criminal Justice and is a Cadet at the Michigan State Police Post in Lapeer.

Jasmine was busy in high school, playing soccer for four year, in the pep band for three and involved in student government all four years. Jasmine was also active in the Police Explorers Post 810. It was obvious in speaking with her, Jasmine is a very determined individual and focused on achieving her goals.

Great job, Jasmine!
