To avoid having our inflatable screen blow-away with the approaching Nor'easter, we've made the decision to postpone our "Drive-In" Movie Night. But we will try to reschedule, so stay tuned!!

It was our pleasure to host a Pocketbook Bingo fundraiser for the Village of Fishkill Police PBA on this National Thank a Cop Day! We appreciate the dedication and sacrifice made by our local officers everyday, and loved having the opportunity to give something back to them!

Lord, hear our prayer for all the students, educators, administrators, aides, nurses, counselors, social workers, SROs, transportation workers, cafeteria workers, and everyone else embarking on a new school year today. Help them to be disciplined, alert, safe, productive and engaging. But mostly, encourage them to be kind!

It was Field Trip Sunday for us! We joined fellow Nazarenes representing several different nations from all over the Metro New York District Church of the Nazarene in worship at our campground, Mirror Lake Retreat Center, for Holiness Summit! And broke bread together after the service for lunch. Tom even borrowed a golf cart and gave some personal guided tours of the camp after lunch. We missed those who weren't able to join us, but it was a blessed day together!

The remaining backpacks for older students were delivered to Rombout Middle School this afternoon. The secretary for the guidance counselors said they had just given their last one away this morning, so the timing was perfect!

We were put in contact with the nurse at Fishkill Elementary, and were able to donate our leftover elementary backpacks there today. Your generosity will make a difference! (The rest will be delivered to a middle school tomorrow!)

A couple important reminders! There will be NO service at Fishkill this Sunday morning. Instead, we will be joining other area Nazarenes at Mirror Lake Retreat Center for a service and lunch!
