Members of the CE Solutions team attended Zoobilation - Indianapolis Zoo at the Indianapolis Zoo this past weekend — one of the Midwest’s largest black-tie fundraising events and a longtime Indianapolis tradition.

From live music and incredible local food to spending time throughout the Zoo after hours, it was a great evening supporting an organization that advances animal care, conservation, education, and global wildlife initiatives. As the Zoo’s largest annual fundraiser, Zoobilation helps support the care of nearly 1,400 animals and 48,000 plants while funding important conservation efforts around the world.

Proud to support organizations that continue to make a meaningful impact across Indianapolis and beyond.

June is absolutely loaded with work anniversaries at CE Solutions.

At this point, we’re not sure if people genuinely love working here or if everyone just coordinated their start dates years in advance to overwhelm HR simultaneously.

This month, we’re proud to celebrate Carrie Walden’s 25-year anniversary with CE Solutions.

As the very first employee hired by founder Steve Osborn, Carrie has been part of CE Solutions since the beginning and has played an important role in helping shape the company into what it is today. Her leadership, dedication, and commitment to both our team and clients have made a lasting impact over the past two decades.

Carrie’s experience, institutional knowledge, and steady support continue to be invaluable to our team every day. We’re incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed throughout her career at CE Solutions.

Also, in honor of 25 years, there may have been another questionable attempt at an AI-generated caricature. Fortunately, Carrie’s real contributions are significantly more impressive than artificial intelligence.

Last week, CE Solutions was proud to support the Christel House Open, joining community and industry partners for a day of golf benefiting Christel House Indianapolis and its mission to help students succeed from the classroom to college and career.

Representing CE Solutions were Founder Steve Osborn and Jessica Barrios, joined by Sean Manning of Turner Construction Company and Mary Zurbuch of Zurbuch Construction Consulting.

The timing made the event even more meaningful. Just days later, Christel House Indianapolis celebrated a record 220 graduates from its DORS adult high school program, with another 75 graduating seniors from Christel House Watanabe High School recognized this weekend.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support an organization that continues to make a lasting impact on students, families, and our community. Special thanks to Steve, who has served on the Christel House Indianapolis Board of Directors since 2010 and currently serves as Board Chair.

Congratulations to the graduates, and thank you to everyone who helps make these outcomes possible.

Working in a male-dominated field, and at times being the only woman in the room, can be intimidating. Your first instinct might be to stay quiet or hesitate to speak up and share your ideas. Early in my career, I quickly realized that my ideas, perspectives, and contributions could absolutely be heard and respected, but only if I was confident in myself and my abilities.

One way to help build that confidence is by having strong female mentors throughout your career. Seeing women in leadership positions and learning from their experiences helps show what is possible and provides encouragement to continue pursuing your own professional goals. I have been fortunate to work alongside several amazing women within our company who have set strong examples through their leadership, knowledge, and confidence. Their mentorship has helped me grow immensely, both professionally and personally, and I am incredibly grateful for the support and guidance they have provided throughout my career.

Diverse perspectives are incredibly valuable in engineering because every individual approaches problems differently. Creating an industry where women feel supported and encouraged to contribute not only strengthens teams but also leads to better collaboration, innovation, and project outcomes.

Franciscan Health Orthopedic Center of Excellence | Carmel, IN

Designed to expand orthopedic and sports medicine services in Central Indiana, the Orthopedic Center of Excellence campus brings together patient care, rehabilitation, imaging, and outpatient services in one connected environment.

CE Solutions provided structural engineering services for the new orthopedic hospital, medical office building, and connecting sky bridge. The multi-phase campus was developed for Franciscan Health with thoughtful coordination to support both patient experience and long-term flexibility for healthcare operations.

Project Spotlight: Simon Moon Park – Phase 2 Improvements

This project continues to transform a former City of Westfield - Government wastewater site into a vibrant space for recreation, education, and community connection in Westfield.

With new shelters and gathering spaces, the park is designed to support year-round activity and bring people together outdoors.

Race Day in Indianapolis.

For one day every May, the entire city speaks the same language: checkered flags, engine noise, tenderloins, and “Back Home Again.”

As an Indianapolis-area firm, the Month of May is something we look forward to every year. From team outings at the track to client events and traditions shared across the city, it’s one of the best times to call Indiana home.
