Picked up a piece of Indiana Ash from my friends at Urban Forest a few weeks ago in Fortville. Finally got around to doing an epoxy resin fill (using metallic blue also from Urban Forest) and turned it into a Lazy Susan for the dining table.

Nice to take a break from client work and build something for the family. Okay, back to work 😉

Before and after shots of a recent project. Customer had a 12ft red oak antique church pew from a local Catholic church that she wanted trimmed down to 4ft, while keeping the original end caps and trim work. Everything that remains is 100% original, aside from new fasteners and the requested paint. Fun to bring new life to such an old piece.

Whew, that was a busy few weeks of fulfilling orders - but all Xmas orders have been delivered!

I received some African Mahogany earlier this week, which is a beautiful reddish hardwood seen here. I've got enough for 5 more boards that are ready to customize with the laser engraver if you'd like one ready for you next week (looking at you, belated gift-givers.) I also have two more boards of European Ash.

It’s the most glorious time of the yearrrr!

Had a unique project come through the shop a few weeks ago. Client works for the University of Indianapolis and she saved some of the original basketball court - all hardwood maple!

First step was removing the 3” nails, then arranged the boards, cut to size, stabilized the bottom with a custom cedar border, routered a nice edge on all sides, added some trapezoid legs and slapped on four coats of high gloss water protectant.

Made for a pretty nice coffee table and certainly a conversation piece!

Been horrible about posting updates. Here was a fun one from a few weeks ago - a custom chalk menu board for our friends at Smokey Blue.
