Vintage is quality that comes with age and expertise.
When old school piping came to be a trend again, I wasn’t thrilled because piping has never been my favorite. But when you see how beautiful it is when it comes to life, you realize that in a world of trends…be timeless.

I can never see a life without cake. Buttercream runs throw my veins.
But I have found that it feels so good to step away and rediscover myself.
It’s scary though, I can’t lie. I have always leaned on my talent as a part of my identity and if I took cake out of the equation, would anyone really like me?
Legit, that’s what goes through my head.
So this season is for ME to like ME…with or without cake. To spend more time trying to impress MYSELF than trying to impress others.

I’ll miss this little shop that I worked so hard to build. We’ve been through a lot together.
Some chapters are sad, some are happy and some are exciting, but if you never turn the page, you will never know what the next chapter has in store for you.
I will trust the next chapter in my life…because I know the author.

I am incredibly sad to announce effective immediately, the
A Cake Come True storefront with be permanently closed. I have truly given this chapter everything I have over the last 3+years. But it’s time for this chapter to close.

I know so many will want to know why, and I want to be completely transparent. There are so many reasons, but it comes down to inflation, the economy and difficulty finding skilled staff to produce enough to keep it going. The subsequent shortfalls within the business, the hustle and pivots have been exhausting. With only 2 people on staff, it became increasingly difficult to manage.

I have invested so much into this storefront. Both financially and emotionally. Trust me when I say that if there was another way, I would have found it, but the world we live is unforgiving, and the little guy ends up having to tap out first.

I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has followed my journey and has supported A Cake Come True storefront over the years. I have enjoyed the most, connecting with customers, especially our regulars, and our community. I took a leap bringing a cake shop into this area and I have no regrets. I will truly miss you all.

While my storefront will be closed, I will be going back to where my heart has always been in wedding cakes. I am still taking orders for wedding cakes for 2023. I will be working in my home studio where I will continue to create amazing wedding cakes as well as creating more content. I will also be offering classes and video tutorials to help the next generation of amazing sugar artists.

This is not the end. This is just the point in the story, where you turn the page and see what’s next.
