South Sound Skiffs

Cutthroat fishing has been solid this winter when the weather cooperates. Today both the weather and the fishing were exceptional!

I get to live an amazing life, and do what I love to do, because of all of those who have served to protect my right to do so.

Huge thanks to all those who have served and continue to serve.

Sure had an amazing season on the ocean. Mostly gear fishing, but we did our best to represent for the fly anglers when possible.

Fly fishing for albacore is a whole different world than fly fishing the sound, but it is absolutely incredible!

It was OG South Sound Skiffs reunion day today. Was awesome having Bart out. Like old times!

Bright skies and warm temps were not ideal for fishing but we still had a solid day with some great fish put in the net.

The Silver Surfer and a pink clouser style fly were the hot patterns today. Had lots of fish follow flies that would attack when the retrieve was suddenly sped up. Be sure to vary your strip when fishing the sound.

I'm home from tuna town and back out on the sound.

First trip back today did not disappoint! Plenty of hungry cutthroat including some real quality fish.

Beautiful, crisp fall day on the sound with a couple of awesome guys.

The next six weeks is my favorite time to fish for sea run cutthroat and will be providing some great fishing. Hit me up to get a day scheduled and come out and enjoy this awesome fishery!

Super fun day on the south sound today! Been a tough winter thus far, especially the weather, but today was pretty solid!

Every dollar of the winning bid will go to the Yellow Dog Community and Conservation Fund who know how to administer the funds to those affected in the fishing community, even in far away Australia.
