Crews are still on scene of Jarvis Rd near Reaves Auto Salvage. Ameren construction crews have just arrived and state that the road will remain closed and power outage will persist until about 2 am.

The deadline for applications has been extended to April 17, 2026.

UPDATE: 2pm- State Rd Z has reopened

State Rd Z is shut down between Sandy Church and Woodland Rd for a vehicle accident.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is asking the public for assistance in completing their investigation of the fatality vehicle accident which occurred January 13, 2026 on State Rd. A just west of State Rd. Z. If you witnessed the accident, helped care for the victims, or helped direct traffic, please complete the following webform.

The Mapaville Fire Protection District is accepting sealed bids for the sale of the following vehicle:

2013 Ford Interceptor Utility AWD

Minimum price: $3,000.00

The vehicle will be sold ‘AS-IS’. If the winning bid is made by a public service agency, the existing emergency warning package will be included.

The vehicle can be viewed at the District headquarters

Festus, MO 63028.

Bids are due by 4:00 pm on February 16, 2026, and will be opened at the regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting that evening.
