Mapaville Fire Protection District

The Mapaville Fire Protection District is accepting sealed bids for the sale of the following vehicle:

2007 Ford F150 XLT

Minimum price: $6,000.00

A 7 ft. 6 inch Boss Sport Duty snowplow and Boss TGS300 tailgate salt spreader are included with the sale and will not be sold separately.

The vehicle will be sold ‘AS-IS’. If the winning bid is made by a public service agency, the existing emergency warning package will be included.

The vehicle can be viewed at the District headquarters
3687 Plass Rd.
Festus, MO 63028.

Bids are due by 4:00 pm on August 17, 2026, and will be opened at the regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting that evening.

The Mapaville Fire Protection District reserves the right to accept or refuse any bid. The vehicle must be paid for and picked up by the winning bidder no later than September 1, 2026.

The Board of Directors of the Mapaville Fire Protection District is accepting applications from qualified individuals to fill the remaining term of an unexpired Board of Directors’ seat. This seat expires in April of 2027.

Interested parties must meet the following qualifications:

- Over the age of twenty-four years,
- Resident and voter of the Mapaville Fire Protection District for at least one (1) year before the appointment,
- Registered voter in Jefferson County, Missouri, and
- Not employed by any other fire protection district or ambulance district.

Interested parties shall contact Chief David Brown at the District headquarters at 3687 Plass Rd, Festus, MO 63028, to obtain an application form. Application forms will be accepted until the beginning of the next regular meeting of the Board of Directors on June 15, 2026 at 6:00 pm.

Crews are still on scene of Jarvis Rd near Reaves Auto Salvage. Ameren construction crews have just arrived and state that the road will remain closed and power outage will persist until about 2 am.
