Celebrate Pride by making a difference! π We're looking for volunteers to join us at Great Lakes Bay Pride (Saginaw) or Lansing Pride on Saturday, June 27.
Volunteers help staff the MiGen table, share resources, connect with community members, and help spread the word about the programs and support MiGen offers. It's a fun way to celebrate Pride, meet new people, and help ensure more LGBTQ+ aging adults and caregivers know about the resources available to them.
Interested? π³οΈβπ On this day in 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court issued its decision in Bostock v. Clayton County, a landmark ruling that affirmed federal workplace protections for LGBTQ+ employees.
For many LGBTQ+ older adults, this milestone came after decades of working without those protections. Today, we honor that progress and the resilience of those who helped make it possible.
