Writing Alloy

Yesterday at Fairhaven, Village Books, I offered my book Letter Y for sale and had photoshooting with this gentleman. His name is Dirty Dan Harris, according to my stepdad Gary, and Gary knows the history of the place very well.

According to my research Dirty Dan was an adventurist and a smuggler. For example, he was smuggling liquor from British Columbia, in the barrels with the label "Honolulu Sugar" to disguise the liquor.

He was an eccentric character with crude manners and a drunker known for many curious affairs, though his figure in Fairhaven is memorialized for he officially platted and founded the city on January 2nd 1883.
