Shoemaker Services is a well established, Family owned Landscaping business Located in Fenton Michigan, that is well known for our high quality, high end landscape installation projects. We are looking for people with experience in all aspects of the industry to Join our team. We offer competitive pay, Health insurance, 401 K retirement, paid vacation and performance bonuses to all members of our install crews.
To be considered for a position you must, have a valid drivers license and some type of Outdoor manual labor experience. Landscaping experience is a huge plus but not necessary we will teach you the ins and outs of the industry.
These positions are for Installation work only including, retaining walls, patios, irrigation, plantings and much more.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Irrigation Technician to service and install our client’s irrigation equipment. As a technician, you will be responsible for digging trenches, installing equipment, testing the system, and conducting regular maintenance checks. You may also be required to install electrical timer systems.
Irrigation Technician Responsibilities:
• Inspecting and loading equipment for the day’s work
• Driving to the client’s location
• Know how to start and winterize a sprinkler system
• Digging trenches and installing Lines and zone wires
• Installing pumps and electrical timers
• Know how to replace sprinkler heads and valves
• Repair underground leaks
• Maintain parts Inventory
• Testing the irrigation system
• Conducting routine maintenance checks
• Troubleshooting and replacing faulty parts
• Completing progress reports and associated paperwork
• Program timers
Irrigation Technician Requirements:
• Proven work experience as an Irrigation Technician or Installer
• Knowledge of irrigation and electrical timer systems
• Know how to troubleshoot a wiring problem
• Know how to use a toner to find valves and trace sprinkler wires
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of plumbing is preferable
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must make a detailed log of time in and out of each site along with details of repairs made and parts used
