We are proud to have been on the team for this project with our good friends at McCarthy.

Originally constructed in 1933, The Robert A. Young Federal Building is one of the largest office buildings in downtown St. Louis, standing at approx. 1 mil SF. This 20-story building was retrofitted with viscous dampers, steel braces and steel sheer walls to provide additional shelter-in-place opportunities and safe exiting for the building’s 3,000 occupants in the event of an earthquake. 🏙

American Metals Supply is pleased to announce that to offset our carbon footprint from business operations in 2020, we have partnered with Azimuth Energy and Aschinger Electric to install a solar array that will reduce emissions for us for years to come.

This is equivalent to:

• Eliminating 7,400 gallons of gasoline burned in cars each year.
• Preventing 84 acres of mature woodland from being deforested.
• Establishing a 210 acre urban park.
