Birthday Action!

Howdy friends! This last lap around the sun was particularly messy and fruitful. Leaving lots of interests, pre-installed mental programs, and traumas behind. Embracing new ideals, natural environments, and a slower pace.

I’m really looking forward to this next year. Making some exciting new moves that are still unannounced, as well as completing my 10th year hosting . And alpine lake hiking too!

Well this was a happy accident. Was complaining to that I’d never grown Blue Dream and felt like I wanted to, to see what she’s like. Tyler mentions to me that I gave him Blue Dream seeds from my uncle in Humboldt several years ago, and hands them back to me. Well damn!

If I got the story right, my uncle casually crossed a few of his favorite Blue Dream plants (from a buddy’s S1 seeds, perhaps) to make something he calls BDX, and then crossed that back with the original Blue Dream clone-only cut. Thus making his own fav version. Or something like that. You know how old lore gets. Regardless, these are a snapshot of a Blue Dream flavor profile from the past that I am unfamiliar with (grown properly.) I’m stoked to see how easily they germ!

Every Christmas I make a freezing QWET tincture to share with my local peeps. (And in the old days, this run of tincture was given to friends at Emerald Cup.) It’s a blend of some favorite flavors. As I empty the bags, I set the plant tags aside. I like how the notepaper turned out this year. It’s a story of some great time spent with plants. And an appreciation some of my fav gene providers.

I know single plant extractions are beloved, but I really enjoy blending flavors like a vintner. My tinctures taste incredible and are very enjoyable, intentionally. This tincture I named Golden Hope.
