Rahma Recovery Center
We’re honored to share that Rahma Recovery Center was recently featured on local television, highlighting our work supporting Muslim women in recovery.
This segment brings attention to a critical and often overlooked gap: culturally responsive, faith-based recovery services for underserved communities.
Addiction does not discriminate—but access to safe, stigma-free care is not always equal.
Our model integrates faith, community, and evidence-based recovery support to create pathways to long-term healing.
We’re just getting started.
If you’re a partner, funder, or advocate interested in expanding this work, we welcome the conversation.

Alhamdulillah, I’m deeply humbled and grateful to see the story of the House of Duʿā being highlighted by our local media. To have outlets like the Seattle Times and Federal Way Mirror recognize this work is not just an honor—it’s a powerful affirmation of how needed culturally responsive recovery spaces are in our communities.
This residence was built with faith, dignity, and healing at its core, and it represents hope for so many women who deserve a safe and supportive path to recovery. I’m incredibly encouraged that this story is reaching a wider audience across our state, and I pray it opens doors for greater understanding, support, and investment from community leaders and policymakers alike.
Thank you to everyone who has stood with us, believed in this vision, and continues to support this mission. We’re just getting started, insha’Allah

My heart is full with gratitude after the grand opening and community iftar at House of Duʿā. What we witnessed was more than an event—it was love, unity, and faith in action. A true reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together sincerely for the sake of Allah ﷻ.
Deep thanks to my backbone in this journey, Living Well Kent, and to Shamso Issak and her incredible team for believing in this vision and organizing such a beautiful iftar. Heartfelt appreciation as well to our Board President and a powerful supporter and an ally, MAAC's executive director Rahma Rashid my friend and constant cheerleader Blair Gibson from Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences, WAQRR . and to our community partners including Somali Health Board and Hope for standing in solidarity.
To my family, neighbors, my brothesr Ali A Abdulla, Abdirahman Ojay, and everyone who showed up—thank you for filling the space with warmth and barakah. Special thanks to Ustad Ahmed for the beautiful Qur’an recitation, and to my sisters Ubah Farah, Safiya, and Mary Williams for bravely sharing their recovery journeys. Your courage is the reason House of Duʿā exists.
To the reporters from Federal Way Mirror, Keelin Everly-Lang, and the Seattle Times's Jayati, I am grateful for your coverage.
To all who donated, supported the auction, or purchased recovery merch—your generosity is helping build a dignified, compassionate space for healing and second chances. Above all, all praise is due to Allah ﷻ. Please keep House of Duʿā and those it will serve in your prayers.
Jazakum Allahu khayran 🤲🏽✨
