Multiplication is not an option.

It’s the heartbeat of the Kingdom — and if it’s not happening at every level of a local church, we don’t have a strategy problem. We have a health problem.

Healthy disciples make disciples.
Healthy groups birth groups.
Healthy teams develop and send leaders.
Healthy ministries raise apprentices.
Healthy churches parent churches.

Seems to be expected in every aspect of creation. Should be normal for the Church too — not exceptional.

Let’s honestly ask ourselves,ā€Is what I’m leading actually reproducing?ā€

A day late but no less intentional… Happy Birthday . We’ve served together for a minute and there is never a dull moment. Today was no different but we’ll just keep that to ourselves, Brookdale 😳

I appreciate and am so proud of you! May this year be full of courage and clarity in your life!

Love you brother šŸ¤ŸšŸ¾

Yesterday at Brooklake Church, my bride and I had a Mother’s Day conversation from the Gospel of John. It was a joy to have her join me on stage and share just a bit of her wisdom and her heart.

Mother’s Day can be beautiful for some, and painful for others. For some, it’s celebration. For others, grief. Some are longing for children they do not yet have. Some carry complicated stories about their mothers. Some are spiritual mothers who have poured their lives into people without ever having biological children of their own.

This conversation is for all of them.

In the Gospel of John, Jesus interacts with His mother in only a few moments — but those moments reveal something profound about dignity, faith, suffering, family, and love.

Happy Mother’s Day to the amazing . You are selfless, tenacious, caring, kind, loving and most importantly a lover of Jesus.

You lift all who are privileged to be near you. Thanks for fiercely putting your family first.

We all love you! šŸ¤ŸšŸ¾

Some seasons feel like God has gone quiet. Like maybe He’s moved on or stopped working in your story.

He hasn’t.

God is with you.

ā€œI am with you always, to the end of the age.ā€ — Matthew 28:20 CSB

God is for you.

ā€œIf God is for us, who is against us?ā€ — Romans 8:31 CSB

God is not done with you.

ā€œHe who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion.ā€ — Philippians 1:6 CSB

His presence has not lifted. His posture has not shifted. His purposes have not stalled.

Keep going. He’s not finished. With you!

The Bible you read this morning was carried to you by men whose names you will never know.

They worked in cold stone rooms by candlelight. They went blind copying. They walked manuscripts across mountains in the snow when the world burned.

Most of the work of the Kingdom has always been done by people no one will ever interview.

That is not a tragedy. That is the design.

An audience of One is enough.

Between Easter, birthdays and dozens of special moments, April was a blast. Let's go, May. You've got a lot to live up to.

The church doesn’t need more leaders who are impressive. It needs more who are acquainted with grief. Not leaders who have all the answers — leaders who have learned to stay in the room when there are nonoe to be found.

Look for them in the unlikely places. Not on the platforms but in the prayer rooms. Not in the spotlight but have fought in darkness.

We don't need ā€œbetterā€ preaching and ā€œbetterā€ whatever for that matter. But we desperately need leaders who have suffered and still love Jesus and His Church.
