Wildlife Health Notice – The Ridge Nature Area
The Southern Cooperative Wildlife Disease Study (SCWDS) received a POSITIVE test for HPAIV from a Black Vulture carcass submitted by the State of Georgia Department of Natural Resources on behalf of the Southern Conservation Trust.
Please review the information on our website regarding HPAI prevention and monitoring. You may also refer to Guidance for Wild Bird Carcass Disposal in Public Areas During an Ongoing Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) Outbreak.

We are currently collecting bags of fresh grass clippings for our composting program. Please ensure the clippings are free of herbicides, insecticides, or other chemicals.
