The Trilith Institute is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the discovery, development, and professional advancement of Story Artists who inspire the world. Provides leadership, oversight, and coordination of Story Arts education to drive Trilith to become a driving force of cultural impact.

Before the cameras roll, the locations team is already at work.

In Locations 101, industry professional Matthew David Sparks (Sweet Magnolias, Dear Evan Hansen) will guide students through the role of the locations department in film and television, from scouting and logistics to the practical skills needed to support a professional production.

This course is designed for students interested in building hands-on experience and exploring behind-the-scenes career opportunities in the entertainment industry.

Whether you’re exploring filmmaking for the first time or ready to sharpen your craft, our Professional Education courses are designed to connect storytellers with practical skills, working industry professionals, and creative community.

This summer’s lineup includes:

Students may also connect to internship and production opportunities within Georgia’s film and television industry, and eligible students can apply for up to $10,000 in matching funds through our Creative Excellence Grant.

A lot of people think filmmaking courses are just about learning technical skills.

And yes, you’ll learn those. But at Trilith Institute, students also gain access to something equally important: connection.

Our Professional Education students learn from working industry professionals, build creative community, and can connect to internship and job opportunities within Georgia’s film and television industry.
