Upgrade to a new Intermatic Dual Timer with Freeze Protection to replace the outdated single timer. Also install a new variable speed pump to replace the aged and non-functional one.
The aged filter pump became loud, exploded, and tripped the breaker. Installation of a new variable pump and replumbing of the pipelines are also necessary.

Why Filter Cleaning Matters!
Your pool’s filter is the heart of your circulation system. When it gets clogged up with dirt, algae, oils, sunscreen, and who-knows-what-else, your pool can’t breathe. And things go downhill fast.
That’s why we clean most filters every 3 to 4 months
Here’s why filter cleans matter:
-Prevents algae outbreaks
-Keeps your water sparkling and blue
-Improves circulation & filtration
-Keeps chemistry stable better
Skipping or delaying a filter clean, it’s will going to cost you big time.
If your filter is overdue, let’s get you on the schedule! Clean water is happy water!

A new pump had to be installed because the old cleaner pump leaked and had calcium buildup. The old pool guy's incorrect chemistry balances led to this issue.

🥶Essential Steps to Protect Your Pool Equipment During a Texas Freeze🥶🌨️
When the forecast in Texas calls for a hard freeze, pool owners must take proactive steps to protect their pool equipment, especially if power outages are expected.
Here's a handy guide to help you safeguard your pool during those cold spells.
Step 1: Shut Off Power to the Pool Equipment
Before you begin the winterization process, ensure all pool equipment is powered off. This includes the pool pump, heater, automatic cleaners, and other related systems.
Step 2: Drain the Equipment
Protect your pool equipment from freeze damage by draining all the water from the pump, filter, heater, and pipes. Locate the plugs on your pool equipment; Remove each plug and allow the water to drain completely. Open the air relief valve on the filter to allow the filter to drain of water.
Step 3: Once everything is over you'll need to put all the plugs back in
Once the equipment is drained, it's crucial to put the plugs back in before turning back on the equipment.
If you're not comfortable performing these steps or if the power outage has already begun, don't worry. Bullfrog Pool Service is here to help. I can come out to perform an emergency winterization service, ensuring your pool equipment is protected from the harsh winter elements.
