I'm dying to read No Exit by Taylor Adams, soon to be released as an original movie on Hulu. The main character is Darby, a college student on her way home when a blizzard strands her at a rest stop in Colorado. Inside the rest stop are 4 strangers, one of whom she soon learns has a little girl in a cage in the back of their van. With no cell service or help on the way, what will she do and how will she save the little girl? Which stranger is the kidnapper and how far will they go to stop Darby?

It's the spookiest time of year! Here are some stories that gave us the creeps! 😳😲🎃

Fall is a great time to get cozy with a book! We are reading:

In the Woods by Tana French (fantastic murder mystery/thriller)

The British Are Coming (first book in a trilogy about the history of the American Revolution) by Rick Atkinson. It is fascinating.

McTeague by Frank Norris (a novel that explores Social Darwinism, set in Gilded Age San Francisco) -- it reminds us of A Confederacy of Dunces.

We also just finished reading Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy ("Intense!") and the Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket ("Loved it!")
