Our 3rd event was held in Farmington, NM at the 2023 Parent & Youth Caregiver Conference, Promoting Family Wellness through Improving Mental, Physical, and Emotional Health
Again your SPF / DFC/ NYBC gave the Anti-Vaping presentation to the attendees of the two day event.

Our 2nd event was on 03-10-23, in Shiprock NM. This was a M**h Fentanyl Awareness Conference.

Hey folks!! Well it's been a busy couple of weeks. This past month your friendly neighborhood SPF / NYBC team had been doing several out-reach events.
The first event was held on the 9th of March here on Fort Defiance at the WRUSD #8 Admin building. For this special event we had two speakers from both the US Dept of Justice, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and NM Dept Of Health.
The DEA gave a presentation on the dangers of THC and fentanyl. and the NMDOH gave a presentation on Overdose Recognition and Response Training teaching how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and how to administer naloxone, NARCAN, a potentially lifesaving medication.
The event had more than 120 law enforcement,1st responders and front-line workers from around the area.

This training is meant to be for all persons working in the front lines of service work. Law enforcement, EMS, Fire Fighter, Nursing, Public Health nursing, those working in SUD Harm Reduction & treatment, School personnel, Security, Behavioral & Mental Health Workers. Whether you want to be a trainer or just learn more about Fentanyl and Narcan you are more than welcome to join us.
