The World Cup is here, and we have to ask…Who are you rooting for? Drop your team, flag, or bold prediction below.
Whether you’re following every match, rooting for your home country, cheering with family, or just casually enjoying the energy, it’s always fun to see how sports bring people together.
It’s also a good reminder of how much we ask from our bodies — quick turns, balance, strength, coordination, and sometimes a little more confidence than our knees were prepared for.
For current or former soccer players, physical therapy can help with things like ankle sprains, knee pain, hip or groin tightness, hamstring strains, foot pain, and getting back to movement safely after an injury.
And if soccer isn’t your thing? You don’t have to be an athlete to benefit from better movement. Daily life comes with plenty of bending, lifting, twisting, walking, chasing kids, yard work, and those mystery aches that show up out of nowhere.
At Connect Physical Therapy, we help athletes, former athletes, weekend warriors, and everyday movers feel stronger and more confident.

Physical therapy can help with many issues not including but not limited to:
-Recurring aches and pains
-Stiffness or limited mobility
-Weakness after injury or surgery
-Balance concerns
-Novement habits that may be making things worse
-Pain that keeps coming back but doens't have a specific origin or cause
At Connect Physical Therapy, the goal is not to hand you a generic exercise sheet and send you on your way. But to understand what is going on, explain it clearly, and build a plan, together that fits you, your lifestyle and goals to achieve longterm success whether that's pain relief, increased mobility or post-op recovery, but we don't guarantee there aren't at least a couple handouts, only for visual aids, of course :)

Does your shoulder click, pop, or catch when you reach or lift?
Shoulder clicking, also called crepitus, is common. If it is painless, it is often harmless and may come from gas bubbles in the joint fluid or tendons moving over bone.
But it may be worth getting checked if the clicking comes with:
✔ pain or swelling
✔ stiffness or weakness
✔ catching or locking
✔ limited range of motion
✔ a loose or unstable feeling
✔ symptoms after an injury
Clicking can sometimes be related to rotator cuff irritation, shoulder impingement, tendon snapping, or labral issues.
If your shoulder feels “off,” Connect Physical Therapy can help evaluate what is going on and build a plan forward.
No referral needed. Message directly, visit our website or call/text (701) 318-4731.

Summer heat can make sore muscles and achy joints feel more pronounced than usual.
When temperatures rise and you’re more active outside, your body works harder to stay cool. Add in sweating, yard work, walking, golfing, lake days, or summer projects, and small aches can become more noticeable.
A few things can make discomfort worse in the heat:
💧 Dehydration
Less fluid can contribute to muscle cramping, fatigue, and that heavy, stiff feeling.
🏃 More activity than usual
Summer often means more walking, lifting, bending, gardening, or weekend projects.
💪 Tired muscles
When muscles fatigue, your joints may take on more stress.
🛋️ Skipping recovery
Busy days can make it easier to ignore stiffness until it turns into pain.
A few simple ways to help your body keep up:
✔ Drink water throughout the day, not just when you feel thirsty
✔ Take breaks during outdoor activity
✔ Stretch gently after long periods of movement
✔ Pay attention to pain that keeps coming back
✔ Get help if discomfort starts limiting your routine
Don't sore muscles or joint discomfort derail your summer, physical therapy can help identify what is contributing to the problem and build a plan to keep you moving.

Surgery is one step. Recovery is the part that gets you back to real life.
After procedures like a knee replacement, hip replacement, shoulder repair, or ACL reconstruction, your body needs more than time to heal well. It needs the right plan.
Physical therapy can help with:
✔ Restoring range of motion
✔ Rebuilding strength safely
✔ Improving balance and walking mechanics
✔ Reducing stiffness
✔ Helping you return to daily activities with more confidence
✔ Progressing at the right pace for your specific surgery
Without guided rehab, many people may find themselves dealing with lingering stiffness, weakness, compensation patterns, or feeling unsure about what movements are actually safe.
The goal is not to “push through pain.” The goal is to recover with a plan.
If you or someone you know has surgery coming up — or is still not moving the way they hoped after surgery — physical therapy can help bridge the gap between healing and getting back to life.
