Most of our days focus on producing unique materials, but some of our best days are spent testing them to their limits.
This recycled polypropylene/hemp composite is undergoing tensile testing to determine just how strong, yet ductile it can be.
A few small hemp-filled pellets can make something really unique, but a few hundred pounds of pellets ready to be turned into entwined filament can make a whole lot more! What would you like to see made with a hemp-filled plastic?

Finalists named for Faculty Lectureship Three outstanding NDSU faculty have been named finalists for the 58th Faculty Lectureship. The lecture, scheduled for Tuesday, April 2 at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Union Century Theater, is considered one of the highest honors at the university.
