Little Free Library #099
Little Free Library can be for adults ,children, or both. Your collection can be about history, heroes, art; even “how-to” books and classics.
The important thing is to offer a positive selection of good reading that is appropriate to your community.
Once it was weird, twice it was sad, but the third time someone emptied my library leaves me angry and at a loss! Why?? I was able to joke about it at first imaging that they were selling the books to buy Christmas gifts. Now it may be a prank that has gone too far! The Little Free Libraries are supposed to bring people together and share the love of a great story. I won’t give up. I’m like the Whos of Who ville-this won’t get me down or make me stop stop spreading my love of books.
As an avid reader I have always wanted to find the perfect person to share my love of reading with that is truly the reader I am! My family is pretty sure that all I do is read and want to talk about the books but they don't really care, At least not anymore! So...here goes! Just finished reading halfway through Alice and Oliver by Charles Bock. Yes I said halfway! I just didn't have the desire to finish it. I found the storyline jumped around so much that that it was too hard to follow. I couldn't love the characters and as much as I felt for Alice and her struggle with cancer, I only connected with her enough to make sure how it ended. I didn't find it too depressing, just too, for lack of a better word, boring. I think for some reason I didn't like Oliver, Alice's husband. He just didn't seem doting enough! I would love to hear what some of you think! The book I am currently reading is the Storied Life of A.J. Filter. More to come when I finish it!
I can't believe the number of little libraries that are popping up in Fargo! It seems like I can't drive down a street without running into a new one! It is so exciting!
Thank you to whomever continues to organize my library. I check it almost every day and it is always neat and tidy! Enjoy!
In just the last week, we have received several book donations for our library! Thank you to whomever you are! They are very appreciated!
